Museum Tour
这篇漫画以历史上发生过的“化石战争”，以及本人参观自然历史博物馆的经历为灵感。从拼接化石到绘制古生物形象的过程困难重重，也时而发生令人啼笑皆非的错误。如今的考古学技术已相当成熟，但根据错误拼接的化石复原出的怪物仍令人遐想。这篇漫画翻转了“正确”和“错误”的生物造型；故事发生的博物馆中充满现实中错误描绘出的古生物，而唯一正确复原的“狗”却成为了最奇怪的展品。
Absurd stories like “Bone War” happened in the history of paleontology, in which the scholars fought with each other for fossil hunting and fossil recovery, although one totally got the head and tail of Elasmosaurus in the opposite direction. Cases of incorrect extinct species reconstruction are not seldom cases in the development of paleontology; lack of knowledge or methods to gain information on muscles, furs, and other easily decayed body tissues, paleontologists could only “guess” the appearance of the creature they found, resulting in numerous hilarious reconstruction concepts. What could happen, then, if people living in a fantasy world excavated fossils from the animals in our real world? Combining the historical background with my own experience of visiting a natural history museum, I created this four-page short comic telling the short story of a natural history museum visit. Elephant, orchard, eel, ray fish… the reconstructed appearance of the animals in this museum are completely distorted into the way that dwellers of this fantasy world thought they would be, and the dog – the only creature that gets a precise reconstruction – brought confusion to its audience far more than others.
